Welcome bloggers and readers! I’m currently a senior at Indiana University-Bloomington double majoring in Journalism (with a concentration in Public Relations) and African-American/African Diaspora Studies with a minor in Latino Studies. I’m the current President of the IU Chapter of the National Association of Black Journalists and have written for The Indiana Daily Student (college newspaper), and The Post-Tribune (regional newspaper). I also serve as the Public Relations Specialist for Epiphany Modeling, (IU’s first multicultural modeling troupe).
I currently intern at the Indiana University Alumni in Diversity Relations. My job description includes the following
- To assist planning events for 5 affiliate groups
- To assist in alumni recruitment for special projects
- To assist with diversity initiatives of the IU Alumni Association
- To create and monitor social networks associated with certain affiliate groups
- Clerical duties
- Other
I plan to attend graduate school on the East Coast or Midwest in Public Affairs, Public Policy or History.
